University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) is a major teaching hospital in Rochester, NY and serves the Western New York Region. The interpreter services department at URMC has been in existence for 32 years and serves substantial Spanish and deaf populations. URMC also provides ASL services to other institutions through its in-house video interpreting program “Strong Connections.”
